The Williams Arms

The centuries old thatched inn has been modernised without losing its historic character, as exemplified by the Public Bar with its ancient oak beams. The Williams Arms was known as the Exeter Inn for many generations, later taking its name from the noted Williams family who acquired the Estate in 1841.

The Williams Arms was purchased by the Squire family in 1976 and has been managed by them now for over three generations.

Serving a wide range of delicious meals, coffees and refreshing drinks all day, seven days a week, The Orchard Restaurant promises a family friendly menu and specialty evenings. The locally renowned Sunday Carvery offers a selection of four roasted meats and a vegetarian option at a reasonable price of £9.95 for adults and £4.95 for Children aged 5-10 years; Children aged 2-4 eat for free when an adult Carvery is purchased. Offering the highest quality food, the beef served on the Carvery is grass fed from the estates heard of Aberdeen Angus and the Lamb from the estate’s heard of Welsh Mountain sheep, all reared at Orchardleigh.

As well as the recently renovated restaurant, The Orchard boasts a delightful terrace that provides a stunning spot to enjoy a drink, lunch or dinner overlooking the beautiful surroundings of Orchardleigh Estate.
