One review on “Wearside Farm (Washington)

  1. We have been to Wearside Farm a number of times with no problems but when we chose to go there on the 12th April 2019 for a birthday meal it was an alltogether different experience from start to finish. We ordered our main meals one of which was Fish and Chips but we were automatically charged for the large meal instead of the standard one without being asked, We then ordered drinks which included 3 small Coke’s but again we were given and charged for large ones. The meal arrived promptly but one of the meals was only lukewarm at best. We then ordered 2 desserts that came to a total of £10.17 so i offered the staff member ( Isoblel ) a £20 pound note and said I have the 20p if it makes it easier but she said no its fine and the proceeded to give me £9.83 in small change as she had no more pound coins or notes , I said if you had took the 20p you could have give me a £10 pound note but she just shrugged her shoulders and told another member of staff that they now needed more change for the till. Again our first dessert arrived promptly which was a warm dessert so I asked her about the Ice cream which was ordered at the same time she said she was bringing it out next. A few minutes later she returned and asked what Ice Cream we had ordered so I told her it was the 3 sccop option from tha adult menu consisting of 2 scoops of vanilla and one scoop of strawberry Ice Cream with Strawberry Sauce on it. When it arrived she brought all 3 scoops in seperate tubs with only sauce on one of them which we found amusing after everything else that had happened. Now for a word of advice for the waiting staff, if you are going to slag your customers off please wait untill they have left or at the very least make sure who over hears you doing it . Our son was on his way to the outdoor play area and overheard two of them calling us and saying that we were moaning about our meal, im not unreasonable but if I order something I expext as a bear minimum that I at least receive what I have ordered and paid for. Everytime a member of the waiting staff passed near our table they gave us such a hateful stare and made us feel most uncomfotable, needless to say we will never return to what was becoming our local family pub!!!!!
