The Lamplighter on Sundays

Our Traditional Roasts have established quite a following and we believe The Lamplighter has all the essential ingredients for the perfect Sunday:

• Traditional home-cooked roasts and homemade desserts
• St Giles cheese boards
• A lovely garden to the rear
• Real open fire and log burner in the Snug for those chilly days
• Always a superb selection of real ales
• Sunday papers
• A great wine selection
• Freshly ground coffee – Roasted locally at Blenders on St Giles St.

Choose from a selection of meats and two Vegetarian options – All served with fresh cooked vegetables, crispy roast potatoes, braised red cabbage, homemade Yorkshire and real gravy.

A great selection of homemade desserts are always available and our friends at St Giles Cheese supply our carefully chosen British cheese boards. We serve locally roasted coffee from Blenders on St Giles St.

We can accommodate small or large groups and we have a cosy Snug which can be reserved for around 14-18 people. There is extra dining space in the upstairs Drawing Room – which is ideal for large groups.

Booking is not essential but is definitely recommended, especially for large groups and can be taken weeks in advance – Please advise us if anyone in you party has any mobility issues and we’ll reserve a table on the ground floor.
