Inspired by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the legendary British engineer responsible for numerous engineering feats of the 1800s, the legendary north London pub also offers a secret garden area for secluded al fresco dining, with covered areas and outdoor heating for when the weather’s less than desirable.

Highlights on the menu include pork belly with shallot puree & heritage carrots, gnocchi with kale pesto & goat’s curd, and game, bacon & cider pie with green beans. Leading the tempting dessert menu at The Engineer is treacle tart with walnut ice cream. A children’s menu is also available.
