The Beachy Head Hotel started life as the Queen’s Restaurant in 1880 and became the Beachy Head Hotel in the 1890s. During WW2 it housed an advanced listening post when according to one local, nothing was served but mince and onions. Today we boast a much more appetising menu in a lovely setting with great views over Eastbourne Beach.

Hand carved roasts – our Sunday best

The Sunday roast is a Great British pub-food tradition The Beachy Head wholeheartedly honour – and as a country pub, it’s our duty to offer the fine folk of Eastbourne a fitting feast every weekend.

Tuck into Sundays, Vintage style

Sundays at your favourite Vintage are the perfect occasion to gather together your loved ones. We serve a minimum of two of the following hand-carved meats plus a vegetarian option, as always with crispy roast potatoes, fresh vegetables and lashings of gravy…

  • Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding
  • Roast turkey with stuffing
  • Herb crusted loin of sweet-cured pork
  • Carrot and nut roast

Our freshly roasted Sunday dinners are very popular and whilst we try to serve them until 5pm, once they are gone that’s it I’m afraid until next Sunday!

To wash it all down, we recommend one of our fine wines or seasonal cask ales. Roast beef and real ale – now there’s a rare Sunday pairing.
