With plenty of soft armchairs and ottomans by the fireplace inside, and a restaurant furnished with rustic tables and chairs upholstered in brocade, it is an idyllic rural retreat.
Sourcing ingredients from trusted local suppliers, The Golden Heart menu features wholesome recipes based around the garden, land and sea. Sample hand-pressed burgers, beef & ale pie with cardamom carrots, or sea bass with potato gnocchi, while old-school puddings include warming crumbles, custard-lathered sponges and decadent brownies. 8 people for sunday lunch at 12.15 very poor service waitress was rude.
plates were cold and lamb cold. vegetables very good. cappachino ordered was cold coffee with chocolate on top took back to waitress who said machine not working!! Should have been told this before not good enough. Complained to manager about staff and service took 4 starters and 2 sweets knocked of the bill.
