Frontline in London is a restaurant with its own story, found below the journalists’ club of the same name. The classically British menu makes use of the finest produce, much of it from Frontline’s own Norfolk farm.

The fare at Frontline is reassuringly robust. Mains such as roast chicken, hedgerow garlic mash and woodland mushrooms, or potato dumplings, sprouting broccoli and cashel blue, nod towards honest home-cooked British cuisine.

Their indulgent dessert list is equally comforting, with sticky toffee pudding and butterscotch crème fraiche, and pistachio rice pudding and blackberry jam bringing a new twist to old favourites. Frontline also keep a wide selection of well-chosen fine wines from around the world.

Also offering a pre- and post-theatre set menu, Frontline restaurant’s award-winning food makes this one of Paddington’s best finds. A 4-minute walk from Paddington Station, it’s also close to Edgware Road and Lancaster Gate Tube.
