My husband and I went for Sunday lunch and was very disappointed.Having been in the week for lunch and had enjoyed we were looking forward to the Sunday roast, but did not get the traditional roast we were hoping for. The beef was offered rare or well done, we asked for well done but received rare slices browned each side. Veg consisted of really crunchy broccoli, French beans and courgette and mushy roasted butternut squash. The gravy was a herby sauce which was full the plate ,we prefer to add an amount which we like. A Yorkshire pudding which seemed like an aunt Bessie’s and a couple of charlotte potatoes. The only nice thing was the roast potatoes which were served in a dish. My husband had apple crumble which seemed like stewed apple with crumble which had been spooned over the apple. I had a fruit sundae which was lovely with strawberry icecream fresh strawberries,raspberries and blueberries with a swirl of cream on top. Of course there was no cooking involved to serve the sundae. We feel there is a lot of room for improvement and won’t be in a hurry to return for Sunday lunch.
