As a family-friendly restaurant in Saltdean, we pride ourselves on serving up a royally good roast dinner, whenever you want it. Tuck into cracking value carvery meals any day of the week, with your choice of tender, slow-cooked joints, traditional trimmings and unlimited freshly steamed veg.
Eating in Saltdean made easy
At Crown Carveries we don’t stand on ceremony. There’s no need to book; just pop in when you’re hungry. We also run a pub quiz every Thursday, and there’s plenty of parking.

At The Saltdean Tavern you can tuck into a proper roast dinner, with all your favourite carvery ingredients, whenever you fancy it.
We serve up a fantastic family meal out that won’t break the bank. Kids can enjoy the same hot, wholesome and tasty roast as the adults do – you just pay a smaller price for a smaller portion (under 10s only).

I was not impressed with my carvary I had last night, 23rd November.The sprouts were hard and the roast potatoes were dry and cold. And the gravy was just warm. We started our meal about quarter to eight. Whether it was because of that time and no more fresh food were not coming out? I was looking forward to coming to the carvary as it been refurbished I thought the food would be a lot better, but I’m disappointed to say there’s no changes there. Sorry I won’t b going back.
