The area of Cheadle Hulme is one of great tradition and heritage. Archaeological finds have shown clear evidence of inhabitants from as far back as the New Stone Age period of history, with local areas maintaining architecture from a variety of periods throughout history. This historic area provides the perfect setting for our traditional pub, The March Hare.
A traditional country inn, The March Hare and its lovely garden rest beside the pretty Micker Brook River. Our pub offers a warm, timbered interior with open fireplaces. It’s also close to Manchester Airport.
The Sunday roast dinner is a Great British pub-food tradition The March Hare wholeheartedly honour – and as a country pub, it’s our duty to offer the fine folk of Cheadle Hulme a fitting feast every weekend.
Tuck into Sundays, Vintage style
Sundays at your favourite Vintage are the perfect occasion to gather together your loved ones. We serve a minimum of two of the following hand-carved meats plus a vegetarian option, as always with crispy roast potatoes, fresh vegetables and lashings of gravy…
- Roast beef and Yorkshire pudding
- Roast turkey with stuffing
- Herb crusted loin of sweet-cured pork (sourced from one of the only specialist bacon and gammon curers in the UK still using traditional methods)
- Carrot and nut roast
To wash it all down, we recommend one of our fine wines or seasonal cask ales. Roast beef and real ale – now there’s a rare Sunday pairing.
Make your own traditions
Eating out at your local pub on Sunday isn’t just about the traditional roast. For example, we’ve got braised pork belly and lamb shank for those who prefer a twist on a classic.
At The March Hare, our freshly roasted Sunday dinners are very popular and whilst we try to serve them until 5pm, once they are gone that’s it until next Sunday! Book a table now to enjoy your Sunday roast with family and friends.
