The building housing The Royal Saracens Head dates back to the 18th century, when it was used as a coaching inn. It is thought that a 12th-century tavern built on the site counted Richard I among its regulars. Today, it is home to a gastro pub and open bar retaining many of its original features and serving a selection of modern British dishes with a Mediterranean flair.

With chefs given the opportunity to train at cookery schools in Spain and Italy, The Royal Saracens Head menu features modern signature recipes made using the finest available ingredients. As well as creative daily-changing specials, favourites include king prawn, crab and chorizo linguine, or spit-roasted chicken with lemon & garlic confit.
