As a family-friendly restaurant in Southampton, we pride ourselves on serving up a royally good roast dinner, whenever you want it. Tuck into cracking value carvery meals any day of the week, with your choice of tender, slow-cooked joints, traditional trimmings and unlimited freshly steamed veg.
Eating in Southampton made easy
At Crown Carveries we don’t stand on ceremony. There’s no need to book; just pop in when you’re hungry. We also run a pub quiz every Saturday, and there’s plenty of parking.
The carving deck is the jewel in our crown. Here you can build your perfect roast dinner, your very own “Sunday best”, seven days a week.
Choose from slow-cooked pork, gammon, turkey or beef (we’ll have three during the week when meals are just £3.99, and all four on Sundays when the price is £7.29). Add a Yorkshire pud and as much stuffing as you fancy.
Then fill your plate with as many helpings of roast potatoes, mash and freshly steamed veg as you want. Don’t forget to top it all off with lashings of hot gravy and your favourite sauces.

Had a Cavery with my girlfriend on Monday 26th 2016 around 7.30pm, there was a average que waiting to be served. The only choice of meat was Gammon. The family in front of us asked the chef if there was more meat coming out on the hot plate, the Chef was very blunt and rude with a reply of does it look like it. There was remains of dryed out peas and cauliflower. As not to spoil our evening me and my girlfriend went ahead and settled for gammon carrots with chips as there was no roast potatoes. Im not one to cause a seen so we ate our meals and left. Both agreeing that we will never eat at the Alma again!! Since Monday’s meal we have both experienced sickness and stomach cramps to top things off. Im very disappointed to be honest with the whole experience, sadly I won’t be recommending this pub to any friends.
